Gustavo Aceves

Gustavo has been a member of the Union Sacramento FC staff since 2017. His relationship with soccer and love for the game began at a young age when he began playing at the age of 13 in Mexico. As an adult player he played for Mexico Amateor first special division. Aceves’ many coaching accomplishments and championship wins can largely be attributed to his transition from player to coach and the first-hand experience he brings. “As a coach I hope to teach my age group how to master the art of soccer better.” Gustavo’s experience with Union FC has been great because it has allowed him to meet a lot of new people. Although he serves in a teaching or instructor role he finds that he never stops learning. “Coaching this age group is rewarding because it teaches me something new every day. My players amaze me.”

Gustavo is married with three kids so when not coaching he can be found spending time with his family. His favorite player is Edson Arantes Donasimento (Pele).
