COACHING EXPERIENCE

Jason is a highly dedicated and results-driven Collegiate Soccer Coach with 15 years of Division I level coaching experience and 15 years of experience playing youth, high school, and collegiate soccer. He is a natural leader with a proven ability to build a supportive team environment that fosters success of student athletes both on and off the field. Jason is an excellent communicator with a talent for cultivating positive relationships with players, parents, alumni, and the community at large. He has unmistakable professional integrity, incomparable work ethic, and commitment to excellence.

UC Davis Associate Head Men’s Soccer Coach | Goalkeeper Training (2014 – Present)

As Head of Recruiting, recruit student athletes meeting academic and athletic qualifications. Meet with prospective student players and accompany them on tour of campus. Conduct formal talent assessments and player evaluations. Coordinate all travel for team and staff. Plan and direct skill development programs for players. Develop and implement player training programs, including nutritional, conditioning, and strength.

Manage department and equipment budget. Procure required equipment, including sizing, ordering, and preparing purchase orders. Monitor and manage player eligibility, including review and entry of transcripts and scholastic mentoring. Collaborate with Head Coach and Athletic Director to ensure compliance with intercollegiate athletic rules, regulations, and university policies. Develop and manage fundraising opportunities, including youth soccer camps. Handle, train and manage all aspects of goalkeeping.

UC Davis Physical Education Instructor (2011 – 2015)

Prepare and present physical education lessons for college PE courses, including Beginning Cycling, Beginning Soccer, Intermediate/Advanced Soccer, Racquetball, and Advanced Running. Demonstrate various athletic skills (proper techniques for team bicycle racing, advanced ball movement techniques, etc.) and coach students. Monitor students to ensure their safety and prevent injury. Assess and evaluate student performance to assign grades.
